Our New GrandBaby!!!!!!!

Ok, so the pictures are out of order AGAIN you would think that I've never done this before!!!
Well our new grandbaby was born today June 14, 2009. He is a flag day baby he will share his birthday with his great great grandma Cardon, and his cousin Brooklyn Cardon. He weighed in at 8 lbs and was 20 1/2 inches long with tons of long dark hair. We think that being born on flag day is quite fitting because his Dad so proudly serves in the military, and we were so afraid he would miss his birth because of summer gaurd camp. His name is Lance Cardon Esplin and we are so greatful that he is here and in our family.

DAVID, SPORTS, BROKEN

He looks so sad......

This was after he had his finger set.....

Ok, so our blog has a reoccurring theme it's David, sports, and broken. This has been the worst year for him playing sports, I feel so bad for him. David made the CHS freshmen baseball team, baseball is his favorite sport ever. So they have played I believe three games so far, well on Monday they played Snow Canyon. In the bottom of the first inning David almost gets picked off by the third basemen, so he dives back to the base and somewhere in there he hits his hand/finger. When he stands back up his little finger is bent all kinds of wrong but he still tries to play, he can't throw the ball so they take him out and thats when we get a look at said finger. Not good, after an X-ray we get the good/ bad news 1. It's the same hand that he broke in football, that now has a metal plate in, but the plate looks great the Dr. said. 2. His growth plates are still open which could mean a few more inches. 3. The finger is broke clear thru but it's a clean break and he can just set it no pins or anything like that. Bad news 1. He's done with baseball this year. So his mother now needs an antidepressant and a sedative to deal with him not being able to play baseball. I love to watch him play he is really good and plays with so much intensity. I also forgot to mention that he is one of the team captains, so he now gets to keep score and cheer for his team from the dugout DANG!!!!!!!!

This is before it was set, his pinky finger was the same size as his thumb.

Our trip to the State Tournament......

This is the Cedar High Basketball team at the State tournament, they placed 4th in the state . If you look in the middle of all the boys you can see Craig's forehead. We also had a few minutes to do some sight seeing: The DUP, Toys-R-Us and Cabela's.

All the girls at the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum, Aubree, Amanda, Kenz, and Me.
This was the first Fire Engine in the state of Utah, it was pretty cool!!!

It had a team of horses that pulled it, seeing this was worth the tour.
