Only in Cedar City..........

Ok, so where else do they herd sheep down main street and call it a parade, no where but Cedar City. This was the first time that I've been and it was fun. They had a lot of different sheep wagons, they had some really old ones and some cool new ones too.
I just thought that this was funny, this old classic truck pulling a sheep wagon. Hmmm....

This is what David's hand looks like with the bandage off and before the Doc tried to set it.

This is David and I right after he got out of surgery. I was trying to give him a drink, he almost wore the cup of water.
Here's David after a little bit of morphine feelin kinda good, he can even give the thumbs up. Then it wore off and he was pretty miserable, we are finding that staying on top of the pain is very important and it's hard to play catch up when it's hurting.
This is the x-ray they did while he was in surgery to make sure everything is where it's suppose to be with the plate and the pins. He has the plate on the top and 4 pins holding it in place. David will have a soft wrap for 2 weeks then a brace for 4 to 6 weeks I think. He is doing really good, he is a tuff little cookie.

FOOTBALL UPDATE......BROKEN HAND

UPDATE October 29th, David is going in for surgery today at 11:00am, the Doc is putting in a plate and pins because it won't stay in place.

Ok, so this is our latest and last update with football. Last night they played their last game against our across town rivals Canyon View. David tackled someone and somewhere in the middle of all of it someones helmet got him in the hand. The result a broken hand , I hope you can see it in the x-ray it's on the top of his hand, there is a bone that is sticking up and not connected to anything. He broke it early in the 2nd quarter they taped it up and he continued to play for most of the game coming out when it got hit. They also wouldn't let him carry the ball (he usually plays both offense and defense) so he didn't get to play as much as he would have liked to. On a positive note we beat Canyon View 26- 13, and he did have one interception and three sacs with a broken hand and we heard all about it at the insta-care. After we got him home and he had taken his pain medication he would start falling asleep, then he would pop his head up and say, "And the best part is I had 3 sacs and 1 interception with a broken hand." After hearing that over and over I finally said you need to stop saying that "you're asleep" and than he relaxed and quit talking.

Duh, this is suppose to be at the bottom.........

Ok, so just when I think I know what I'm doing, I really don't. I know just enough to be dangerous so watch out. So this picture is suppose to be at the bottom under David, but I don't know how to do that so everything is out of order. So just start at the bottom of the page and it will make perfect sense I promise.
So funny story- after we got all the pumpkins loaded up and were going to pay for them a lady waves her hand and stops us. She then asks what we are going to do with all of the pumpkins thinking that we are doing something really special, when in fact we are just going to carve them all. So I said, well they are going to two different houses and I do have four children (didn't mention one is married) we didn't think we had that many. Until we had to unload them to weigh them all and we had a total of 230 lbs worth of pumpkins, so I think we found a few good ones. Just so you know we did leave one or two pumpkins for the next people!!!!!

Picking Pumpkins

We had a lot of fun without David and we found some great pumpkins. Because of the snow a few days ago, a lot got froze but we were able to find a few good ones. Aubree and Amanda are trying to pick this one up.

Kenz and Amanda find a keeper...

After walking through the whole patch and getting stickers in my feet (because I wore sandals) I found one.

Pumpkin pickin.......

So last year was our first time going to the pumpkin patch and picking our own pumpkins, a great time was had by all if I do say so......... Well we decided to go again this year and so this is David so not picking pumpkins he flaked out and went golfing instead.

As you can see in this picture he is heart broken about not going with us and being forced to golf with his friends. They couldn't even look at me for the tears in their eyes. Ha ha ha
